Hotel Elefant presents a portrait program of acclaimed composer and vocalist Kamala Sankaram at Brooklyn’s ShapeShifter Lab. The program includes the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by Sankaram for Hotel Elefant. The evening will be shared with Bombay Rickey, Sankaram’s five-piece surf-rock/cumbia/Spaghetti-western/Bollywood/etc. outfit, praised as “delightfully outlandish… a true treat for the adventurous ear” (Time Out New York).
